At the forum of Turkic-speaking countries held in Ankara, dedicated to the fight against fake news, the Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan, Marat Tagaev, visited the Department of Cinematography of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey. Here, he met with the General Director, Birol Güven.
During the discussions, representatives of the two countries exchanged views on current issues and prospects for cooperation in the field of cinematography, as well as discussed opportunities for implementing joint projects and promoting the cultural heritage of Turkic peoples through audiovisual means.
Particular attention was paid to the significance of the film industry for forming a positive information environment, strengthening humanitarian relations, and combating misinformation in modern conditions.
The parties agreed to continue organizing the "Days of Cinema" of the Kyrgyz Republic in Turkey and the "Days of Cinema" of the Republic of Turkey in Kyrgyzstan.
As a result of the meeting, the deepening of cooperation between the relevant ministries of the two countries and the expansion of practical interaction were discussed.
