From November 30 to December 3, the Fajr International Film Festival took place in the city of Shiraz, with a delegation from Kyrgyzstan participating. The delegation was headed by Nurgül Moldosheva, the head of the International Relations Department of the Cinematography Department of the Ministry of Culture.

According to the press service of the ministry, a meeting was held during the festival with Mohammad Tayyeb, a representative of the Iranian Cinematic Organization.

During the negotiations, the prospects for joint production, animation projects, and film promotion were discussed, made possible by a memorandum of understanding and cooperation between the film organizations of the two countries, signed in 2024.

Additionally, the festival hosted an international forum dedicated to cooperation in the field of cinema, led by Iran's Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Seyed Abbas Salehi. The event was attended by ministers and deputy ministers of culture, as well as heads of film organizations from 20 countries.

The festival concluded at the "Honar Shahr Aftab" cinema.

The film "Kachkyn" by Kyrgyz director Dastan Japar Ryskeldi was also included in the festival's competition program.
