According to the Ministry of Culture, the delegation included the producer of Central Asia Days at the festival, Nathalie Tovendi, the director of international relations of the city of Avignon, Jacques Maurice, and other representatives.
During the meeting, the participation of Kyrgyz theaters in the international festival "Avignon Off," held in Avignon, France, was discussed.
Mambetaliev thanked the guests for their interest in Kyrgyz theater, for watching performances, and for their support in promoting Kyrgyz art on the world stage.
The French side also expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and the interesting performances they were able to see.
As a result of the meeting, the parties reached the following agreements:
- In 2026, Kyrgyzstan will present one performance at the "Avignon Off" festival;
- In 2027, the participation of 2-3 performances is planned, and the possibility of organizing "Days of Kyrgyz Theater" within the framework of the festival is also being discussed.
