On December 10, a meeting took place in Turkey between Ruslan Kazakbaev, the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan, and Gursel Baran, the Chairman of the Ankara Chamber of Commerce (ATO).

During the meeting, representatives of the two countries discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral trade and economic cooperation. They noted that, according to TÜİK, the trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey for the first nine months of this year amounted to $1.2 billion.

The Ambassador expressed gratitude for the support of events held at the ATO in 2025 and emphasized the need for further cooperation, particularly in promoting Kyrgyz organic products in major retail chains in Turkey and expanding collaboration in the agricultural sector.
Additionally, he invited Gursel Baran to visit the Kyrgyz Republic, and the ATO Chairman agreed to organize the visit in 2026.

Following this, an extended event was held with participants from the Turkish business community, organized with the support of the EkoAvrasya Foundation. About 40 business representatives participated in the discussion, led by the organization's Chairman Hikmet Eren.

Ruslan Kazakbaev presented the investment and economic potential of Kyrgyzstan, highlighting the liberal tax system, broad investment preferences, and openness to business, as well as access to the EAEU market. He noted that in the first six months of the current year, direct investments from Turkey reached nearly $100 million, indicating a high level of trust in the Kyrgyz market from Turkish investors.

The discussion also focused on opportunities for cooperation in renewable energy, industry, logistics, agriculture, and tourism.
