Shirin Alma – a dish from Kyrgyzstan
Shirin alma
.In translation from Kyrgyz, it means – sweet apple.
To prepare this dish, you do not need any exotic ingredients or special spices, which are usually abundant in Eastern cuisine recipes. Shirin alma can be very easily and quickly prepared at any moment in any kitchen, and anyone without culinary skills can do it.
Kyrgyzstan has always been famous for its apples, so it is not surprising that many culinary recipes featuring these fruits have emerged there.
Ingredients:
Apples 113
Sugar 20
Gelatin 5
Fruit or berry syrup 20
Water 20
Powdered sugar 5
From the apples, without cutting them or peeling the skin, remove the seed cores, sprinkle the holes with sugar, place them on a baking sheet, add a small amount of water, and bake. Then cool them, fill the holes with unset jelly, pouring it over the edges, and chill until the jelly sets. When serving, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
For the jelly: add water to the syrup, previously dissolved gelatin in water, bring to a boil, and cool.
You can simplify the preparation of the dessert by cutting the apples in half.
