Vasilevsky Mikhail Grigoryevich (1932)

Russian. Born in the village of Shirokaya-Pad' on Sakhalin Island, Pilevsky District. Graduated from Blagoveshchensk State Medical Institute (1959).
Worked as the chief physician of a maternity hospital (Blagoveshchensk), assistant and associate professor at Chita Medical Institute, radiologist at the regional oncology dispensary (Chita), head of the department at Semipalatinsk Medical Institute, head of the department at KGMU, senior and leading researcher at the National Oncology Center. Specialist in obstetrics and gynecology, neonatology, statistics and epidemiology of malignant neoplasms, and healthcare organization. Published over 110 scientific works, including 1 monograph.
