The press service of the ministry reported that no fires have been detected at this landfill so far.
On December 23, during a joint meeting of several committees of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Gulzhan Satieva (District No. 18) raised the issue of ongoing burning at the landfill and called on the relevant authorities to take measures to address this problem.
Inspectors from the Ecological Supervision Service, at the direction of Minister Meder Mashiev, went to the site to assess the situation at the landfill.
“During the inspection, explanatory activities were conducted. Work in this direction will continue,” the agency's press release stated.
