A resident of the village of Lenin'skoye illegally stored about 850 kg of endive roots

During an on-site inspection conducted on November 28, employees of the Ministry of Nature, the Regional Ecological Service, and local law enforcement in the Alamedin district discovered a significant quantity of endive roots in a house in the village of Lenin.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Nature, approximately 850 kg of roots were found on site, which is equivalent to about 30 bags. During the inspection, the owner of the roots reported that he had brought them from Uzbekistan.

The holders of the illegally stored roots were taken to the Alamedin District Internal Affairs Department for further investigative actions.

Endive (macrothamia) is one of the plant species whose collection is temporarily prohibited under current legislation. This moratorium will be in effect until January 1, 2027.
