The weekly agricultural market in Bishkek, held every Sunday, is not only a place for shopping but also a true cultural center for the locals. It has a lively and friendly atmosphere that captivates even foreign guests.

This Sunday will be remembered for the performance of the veterans' choir "Red Carnation." Their energetic program left no one indifferent: retirees, farmers, and even guests from Malaysia, who came for shopping, couldn't resist and started dancing.

Military retiree Alexander Mun, one of the market visitors, noted that he had heard about the "Buranov Grannies," but this was his first time seeing such active performers from Bishkek. He expressed a desire to help spread information about their creativity.

As soon as the waltz began, one of the attendees, also a retiree, invited the ladies to dance. He added:

- I heard that a program for active longevity has been launched in Kyrgyzstan. Events like ours are a great place for exercise, singing, and dancing. It's time to stop sitting at home; we need to be more active. Thanks to the Ministry of Agriculture and the city administration for this wonderful idea. I had a great time.

The "Kara-Jorgo" dance brought everyone together

The performance was so inspiring that even the farmers, for whom this event was intended, joined in the dance. After the choir members sang, they danced to melodies from various nations of the world.

A real hit was the performance of "Kara-Jorgo," when one of the men jumped into the dance, inspiring everyone present, including about 20 female tourists from Malaysia, who quickly picked up the moves. As specified by VB.KG, the dance impulse was given by farmer Daniyar Kurbanov from the village of Kashat in the Issyk-Kul region.

Soon, mothers with children in strollers approached the area, and the little ones immediately pulled their parents into the dance circle, leading to even greater generational unity.

After the performance, all choir members were treated to hot tea and given small tasty gifts. Interestingly, among the singers was a veteran of the newspaper "Evening Bishkek."

"We sing alongside people, and that attracts them"

The choir's concertmaster shared that in her everyday life, she works at the Kyrgyz Philharmonic, and the veterans' choir holds an important place in her life.

The artistic director, a distinguished figure in culture of the Kyrgyz Republic, Gulbarchyn Jakshylykova, noted:

- This is our first performance in such a format. It was unexpected that today several people were interested in how to join us. It seems that our close interaction with people plays a role. Anyone can come up and sing with us. We rehearse in the former "Zhashtyk" cinema and welcome all retirees and pre-retirees, men and women. The main thing is the desire to sing in any language. We performed songs in Russian, Kyrgyz, and English, and we are proud of our team and our serious approach to work.

Farmers are satisfied: good conditions and a creative approach

The publication VB.KG conducted a survey among farmers participating in the market. They noted that they appreciate how the organizers add creative performances, which enliven the exhibition and attract buyers in unconventional ways.

The farmers also praised the conditions at the market: tents, convenient carts for shoppers, and a clean area free of dust and cars, which is extremely important for food products.

Farmers and creative groups are invited

The organizers, representing the Ministry of Agriculture and the Bishkek city administration, invite new participants who wish to present high-quality, certified, and environmentally friendly products. Regional producers need to obtain certificates from the district departments of the Ministry of Agriculture.

The stage is also open for creative groups wishing to perform for farmers and guests of the market.

The agricultural market in Bishkek is confidently becoming a space for creativity, communication, and vibrant urban spirit.
