“We presented the first axes made using Soviet technologies at the market on December 18 of last year. The name 'Stalin' was chosen not by chance: on this day, the famous politician Joseph Stalin was born in 1878. We demonstrated how easily our axes can destroy metal objects with a thickness of two to five millimeters, which attracted the attention of buyers. During conversations with the locals, it became clear that they were interested not only in axes but also in other tools. Many asked to see the cutting properties, after which they placed orders,” said Sergey Dorokhin, the organizer of the production and a seller from Kara-Balta.
Currently, three people are involved in the production process: a blacksmith creates the blanks, a woodworker makes the handles and attaches them, while Sergey coats them with varnish and is also responsible for market analysis and order acceptance.
Local residents order axes, knives, hammers, and heavy mallets. They strive to obtain reliable and safe tools that take into account their physical parameters, such as arm length and palm width.
“In response to customer requests, we expanded the range of 'Stalin' axes, creating three sizes: large, medium, and small. Similarly, we added new options for household knives,” the craftsmen added.
