By the end of 2025, 63 projects aimed at processing agricultural products and developing trade and logistics infrastructure had been implemented in the country. Among them, one can highlight enterprises for the processing of grains, vegetables, and fruits, as well as dairy and meat products, fish, wool, vegetable oil, and organic production facilities. This data was provided by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic.
As a result of these initiatives, 2,707 new jobs were created, contributing to the improvement of the economic situation in the regions and increasing employment, as well as strengthening the production potential of the agro-industrial sector. According to the results from January to November 2025, the share of the food industry in the total volume of industrial production in the republic was 17.4%.
According to preliminary data, over 11 months in 2025, enterprises in the agro-industrial complex produced food products worth 94.2 billion soms at current prices, with a physical volume index of 127.8%.
As part of the Development Program of the Kyrgyz Republic until 2030, and in accordance with state goals in the agro-industrial complex, it is planned to launch 385 processing enterprises, which will increase the processing level to 25%. The total amount of investment in this area will be 20.96 billion soms.
For 2026, the opening of 75 new agricultural processing enterprises is planned, with expected investments of 9.1 billion soms. The Ministry will continue active work to achieve the set goals.
