The State Tax Service held a working meeting dedicated to current issues of cashless payments for businesses.
Among the participants were the Deputy Chairmen of the STS — Azat Almanbetov and Kubanychbek Isabekov, as well as representatives from the National Bank, the Antimonopoly Regulation Service, the Interbank Processing Center, the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, and the Union of Banks of Kyrgyzstan.
The main task of the meeting was to develop joint solutions aimed at eliminating the difficulties faced by entrepreneurs and consumers, as well as ensuring the stability of cashless payment instruments and creating transparent conditions for doing business.
During the discussion, various aspects of using cashless payments were considered, including QR codes and electronic wallets. Participants also emphasized practical problems arising from accepting such payments and issues related to the convenience and security of transactions.
Additionally, attention was paid to the difficulties that arise when using payment instruments registered to individual entrepreneurs and legal entities. Participants noted that resolving these issues falls within the competence of banks and specialized organizations.
Topics discussed also included increasing the speed of fund transfers, improving tariff policies, simplifying the procedures for opening accounts and electronic wallets, as well as technical aspects affecting the operations of entrepreneurs.
All participants expressed their readiness for constructive cooperation to develop solutions that promote the development of cashless payments, taking into account the interests of businesses and citizens.
The STS intends to continue systematic work to create favorable conditions for entrepreneurship, develop modern payment infrastructure, and strengthen the transparency of Kyrgyzstan's economy.
