Forestry Lands Were Illegally Leased

The Prosecutor's Office of the Jumgal District of the Naryn Region reports on uncovered facts of illegal leasing of forest land.

From 2019 to 2024, using their official powers, officials of the Jumgal Forestry organized fictitious competitions for the lease of forest lands. As a result, 49 citizens were granted land plots with a total area of 104.19 hectares for a period of 49 years, based on forged protocols of the competitive procedures.

As a result of the inspection, the prosecutor's office initiated a criminal case under Article 346 "Official Forgery" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. Investigative activities are currently ongoing.
