In the Batken region, in the Kadamjai district, the construction of the small hydroelectric power station "Bazarbay Ata" in the Maydanskaya rural area has been completed, as reported by the local administration.
The opening was attended by Aibek Shamenov, the authorized representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Batken region, as well as the district akim Bolotkan Bayake uulu and local residents.
The first unit of the station has already been launched and is operating at full capacity.
The capacity of the hydroelectric power station is 200 kW per hour, while the total installed capacity reaches 600 kW.
A private investor invested 8 million soms in the construction of the facility, and the Kyrgyz-Russian Development Fund provided a loan for the same amount.
The opening of the hydroelectric power station will significantly reduce the shortage of electricity in the region and create jobs for 10 people.
