Kyrgyzstan Presented Key Directions of the "B5+1" Forum to the Diplomatic Corps

Today, a joint briefing organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Economy and Commerce was held in Bishkek for ambassadors and representatives of diplomatic missions from Central Asia and the USA. The event was dedicated to preparations for the Second 'B5+1' Forum, scheduled for February 4-5, 2026.

According to information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the briefing was led by Deputy Foreign Minister M. Abakirov and Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic B. Nurlanova.

The 'B5+1' Forum in Bishkek will continue the agreements reached at the 'Central Asia-USA' (C5+1) summit, which took place on November 6, 2025, in Washington with the participation of the leaders of Central Asian states and the USA, and will focus on developing economic cooperation between the regions.

During the briefing, the goals and key aspects of the upcoming 'B5+1' Forum were highlighted, and the significance of this initiative as a mechanism for developing regional integration, improving the investment climate, and expanding cooperation between Central Asian countries and the USA was emphasized.

Particular attention at the briefing was given to the key thematic areas of the Second Forum, including agriculture, e-commerce, the IT sector, transport and logistics, tourism, the banking sector, and critical minerals. These topics will serve as the foundation for further development of economic partnerships in the region.

By hosting the Forum in Bishkek, the Kyrgyz Republic demonstrates its readiness to facilitate effective interaction between government structures and private business. The Second 'B5+1' Forum is expected to become an important platform for discussing new economic priorities and establishing a long-term dialogue between Central Asia, the United States, and the business community.
