Starting from March 30, 2026, an annual campaign to promote financial literacy called "Global Money Week 2026" will begin in Kyrgyzstan.
According to information from the National Bank, the slogan of the campaign is "Smart Money – Prosperity at Home." This reflects the need for a comprehensive increase in the level of financial literacy among the population, including skills in managing expenses, investing, and protecting against fraud, as well as seeking reliable information about financial instruments.
From March 30 to April 3, various events will be organized across the country, involving government agencies, commercial banks, financial companies, and educational institutions. The program includes open lessons, lectures, open house days at banks, as well as contests and quizzes.
The events will cover topics of financial security, developing money management skills, and making informed financial decisions.

Global Money Week (GMW) is an international campaign that started in 2012 and covers 176 countries. The main goal is to provide children and youth with access to quality financial education to help them make informed financial decisions and improve their financial well-being in the future.
This initiative has been conducted in Kyrgyzstan since 2015 and is coordinated by the National Bank.
