Rock is us!
The Second International Festival "Rock is Us" took place the day before at the State National Russian Drama Theater. Events in the rock genre in this format are not held very often. The first part of the concert was dedicated to the legends of domestic rock, while the second half featured a competition among young performers. The concert lasted until late at night, and with each passing hour, the audience in the hall grew larger.
Before the performers took the stage, a slideshow of unique archival photos was shown. The festival was opened by the legendary band "Aura," followed by musicians from the bands "Vesta" and ED Miles, and the audience was delighted by Denis Kolyuchiy and Erkin Saliev. The musicians demonstrated true professionalism and transported all the viewers back to the distant times when these compositions were first performed on stage.
- Our festival is connected with a charitable action; during the intermission, we will hold a lottery with the "Help the children-SKD" fund. Our festival serves as a link between rockers of the 60s-80s and rockers of the 2000s. We want young artists to know about their predecessors who played before, unfortunately, some of them have already passed away. Our motto is "The cultural heritage of Kyrgyz people in the hands of the Kyrgyz people." Everything should have meaning; our first part is academic, and the second is a competitive program in which 11 teams will participate. We have prepared surprises for the audience; guests from London will perform wonderful compositions for them, - said the festival organizer Vladimir Fesik.
The performances of all the bands were met with great enthusiasm by the audience, as it is not often that one gets to hear wonderful compositions live. As the organizers noted, this festival will become an annual event and may even be held twice a year: in spring and autumn.
