Deputy Chairperson of the Central Commission for Elections and Referendums of the Kyrgyz Republic, Aydana Zhupueva, shared information in an interview on Birinchi Radio about how the CEC monitors compliance with the rules of campaigning by candidates for the Jogorku Kenesh.
According to Zhupueva, a special working group operates within the CEC, which is responsible for informing voters and monitoring campaign activities. This group consists of 14-15 specialists who actively monitor social networks to identify cases of premature campaigning. They also consider appeals from candidates and their representatives, which leads to meetings of the working group.
"Candidates may face fines or warnings. Upon receiving two warnings for premature campaigning, the CEC has the right to exclude the candidate from the electoral race after the third violation," she explained.
It is important to note that the elections for deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh will take place on November 30, and the official campaign will begin on November 10.
