Every vote matters: Kyrgyzstan prepares for early parliamentary elections

The Central Election Commission (CEC) has created conditions for fair competition among all election participants. Political parties, candidates, and initiative groups can freely conduct campaigning activities, present their programs, meet with voters, and participate in debates.

The election campaign can take place through various channels, including media, the internet, meetings, and other public events. Authorities and local self-government bodies are required to provide venues for meetings with citizens.

Candidates and parties have the right to distribute campaign materials in print and audiovisual forms, while adhering to all legislative requirements.

Fair elections are the foundation of public trust

The legislation clearly defines the categories of individuals prohibited from campaigning. This includes, in particular, state and municipal officials, members of election commissions, religious figures, observers, foreign citizens, and stateless persons.

It is also prohibited to use foreign media for campaigning on the territory of Kyrgyzstan. All materials that defame the honor and dignity of candidates are subject to review in accordance with current legislation.

Funding for campaigning must occur only through official election funds, ensuring transparency and equal conditions for all participants in the electoral process.

Voter lists published

The CEC has made public the voter lists prepared by the State Institution "Kyzmat" based on data from the Unified State Population Register (USPR).

These lists can be found on the state portal "Tizme" (https://tizme.gov.kg/). The total number of voters is 4,297,040 people, including 2,082,263 men (48.46%) and 2,214,777 women (51.54%). Paper versions of the lists are available at 2,492 polling stations across Kyrgyzstan.

The CEC and the State Institution "Kyzmat" update the data daily, allowing every citizen to verify their information and exercise their right to vote.
