President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov arrived in Pakistan on an official visit and was greeted at the airport by the country's president Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, as reported by the president's press secretary Askhat Alagozov.
In honor of the arrival of the Kyrgyz leader, a 21-gun salute was given — this is the highest form of ceremonial greeting for heads of state.
Alagozov emphasized that Sadyr Japarov warmly welcomed the Pakistani leadership and expressed his joy about the visit, noting that being welcomed by both the president and the prime minister is a special sign of attention. In response, Pakistani officials remarked, "You deserve this!" which underscores the high level of respect for the Kyrgyz leader.
The press secretary added that such meetings are rare in international diplomacy and indicate the high status of relations between the countries.
