The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, through its land and water use control service, strongly urges compliance with land legislation.
The use of land plots must strictly correspond to their designated purpose as specified in the legal documents. Recently, there have been instances of improper land use, particularly the degradation of agricultural land by certain individuals. This is considered a serious violation of the Land Legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
On lands designated for agriculture, it is prohibited to place construction materials such as sand and gravel, as well as to conduct illegal construction works, disturb the soil layer, and engage in other similar actions. Strict penalties are provided for such behavior. The amount of fines is determined based on the area of damaged land.
For example, the damage for the degradation of one hectare of pasture land can reach up to 930,000 soms, while for a similar violation on arable land (hayfields and irrigated plots), the fine can amount to up to 8,500,000 soms. Additionally, the offender will be required to restore the land plot to its original condition at their own expense. In light of the above, we strongly urge everyone to strictly adhere to the requirements of land legislation.
