According to the Ministry of Agriculture, land plots have already been identified in some regions for the implementation of the project, where fruit trees will be planted, and work will begin in 2026.
Taking into account the specific soil and climatic conditions of the regions, the Ministry of Agriculture recommends using specially prepared varieties of fruit and berry crops, grapes, and nuts, as indicated in the document "Zoning of Varieties for 2024–2028".
International experience shows that well-organized fruit orchards along roads can not only improve the state of the environment but also enhance the country's food security through increased fruit production.
Currently, specialists from the Ministry of Agriculture are working on a draft government decree for the implementation of this initiative.
