In Bishkek, from December 11 to 13, the first republican olympiad on financial security for school students is taking place. This was reported by Kanat Asangulov, the chairman of the State Financial Intelligence Service, on the air of Birinchi Radio.
The organization of the event was carried out with the support of the Central Election Commission for conducting referendums, the Ministry of Education, and the State Financial Intelligence Service, which is part of the Ministry of Finance.
Asangulov emphasized that the main goal of the olympiad is to popularize issues of financial security. It aims to develop skills among youth to identify suspicious financial transactions, which will help reduce the risks of involvement in dubious banking operations and prevent the spread of fraudulent schemes.
The olympiad is being held in an online format and covers students in grades 9-11 from general education schools in the capital. A total of 608 school students are participating in the competition, of which the top 100 have advanced to the finals. The final results will be announced on December 13 at an in-person event at the State Residence No. 1.
