New provisions have been added to the revised program concerning the creation of five new interstate standards. One of these standards will be based on the international standard ISO, while the other four will be developed taking into account the national standards of Belarus.
The aim of the new standards is to ensure compliance with the requirements for composting packaging and to assess its biodegradability.
According to the EEC, the Republic of Belarus has been designated as the responsible developer of these interstate standards. The decisions made by the EEC Board will take effect 30 days after their official publication.
