Adylbek Kasymaliev, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration, participated in a forum titled "Investment Vector: State and Business." During his speech, he noted that Kyrgyzstan's investment strategy includes a number of systemic measures aimed at attracting both national and international investments, improving investment conditions, and supporting sustainable economic growth alongside socio-ecological initiatives.
He emphasized that large-scale reforms are ongoing in the country, the results of which are already visible in key macroeconomic indicators. For example, Kyrgyzstan's gross domestic product has nearly tripled over the past five years, and the GDP growth for the first 11 months of this year was 10.2%.
"Investments are the key to economic growth, stability, and development for any state. In today's conditions, time is the main asset for an investor, and the internal stability of the country is the key to success for both the state and business. Strategic investments provide a reliable and promising path forward. Our republic demonstrates stable investment growth, and during the period from 2021 to 2024, the average annual volume of direct investments increased by more than 140% compared to 1995-2020," he said.
The head of the Cabinet of Ministers added that attention is being paid to attracting investments in key sectors such as hydropower, logistics, agriculture, mining, information technology, halal industry, tourism, and pharmaceuticals.
Additionally, he reminded about the signing of a decree by the president "On Raising the Status and Strengthening the Role of the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic," which is intended to give a new impetus to the development of investment activities in the country.
In conclusion of his speech, Adylbek Kasymaliev called on businessmen and investors to actively cooperate, emphasizing that only through joint efforts can a solid foundation be created for a dynamic and competitive economy in Kyrgyzstan.
