In an interview with television channels about the results of the past year and plans for the future, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration Adylbek Kasymaliev stated that Kyrgyzstan's budget has changed its priorities, shifting the focus from the social sphere to development.

According to him, the projected volume of the consolidated budget will amount to 1 trillion 93.1 billion soms.

As for the republican budget, its initial revenue part was 430 billion soms, but this figure has now increased to 605.5 billion soms. Including additional resources, the budget increases from 585 billion soms to 939 billion soms.

Previously, a significant portion of the budget was allocated to social needs, with almost half of the expenditures going to the social sector. Now, however, we can talk about the formation of a full-fledged budget focused on development. Approximately 35% of expenditures will be directed towards the development of the real sector, 23% towards social needs, over 20% towards labor costs, and more than 6% towards capital expenditures.

The bulk of the additional funds will be directed towards capitalization. For example, 64 billion soms were invested in the country's largest bank, "Eldik Bank." Additionally, over 50 billion soms are allocated for capital investments, which significantly exceeds the initially planned 10 billion soms, now increased to 60 billion soms. These funds will primarily be used for the implementation of infrastructure and social projects, such as the construction of schools, hospitals, and other key facilities.

Kasymaliev emphasized: "Our main goal is to direct additional funds towards development in such a way that they ensure long-term returns."
