Gathering and drying medicinal herbs in her childhood, Aizhan Taitakova sparked assumptions among those around her about her future in medicine.

Aizhan Ovosovna Taitakova has been working in the medical field for 36 years, currently holding the position of senior nurse in a family physician group in the village of Rot-Front in the Issyk-Ata district.

She was born in 1972 in the village of Rot-Front and studied at the local high school. After successfully graduating from the Tokmok Medical College with a red diploma in the specialty of "midwife," she chose medicine. Her journey in medicine began in 1989 when she started working as an orderly in the hospital of Rot-Front. After studying at the medical college, she returned to her hometown hospital, where she worked as a midwife. In 1999, after the opening of the maternity ward, she continued her career in this direction. After the closure of the ward in 2019, she worked as a nurse in the inpatient department and in the family physician group. Currently, she receives pregnant women and has been awarded several Certificates of Honor from the district hospital and the state administration," Taitakova said.

She also recalled one of the most memorable cases at work and gave recommendations to young mothers. "There are different situations. Once, when our maternity ward was still operating, a young woman came in for her first delivery with her mother-in-law and complained of abdominal pain. I examined her and reassured her: 'Everything is fine, you still have a month until delivery.' However, the mother-in-law, dissatisfied with my answer, insisted on an injection to speed up the labor. She threatened to file a complaint. A month later, the daughter-in-law gave birth, and the mother-in-law apologized. In those times when there was no electricity, we worked all night by candlelight. My advice for young mothers: breastfeed your baby around the clock after delivery. This helps to quickly contract the uterus and prevent complications," she added.
