Uzbek holding AKFA has begun construction of a factory in the USA with investments of $600 million

In the state of Kentucky, USA, the construction of a large-scale manufacturing complex has begun, carried out by one of the leading Uzbek companies, AKFA Group. This was announced by the founder of the firm, Jahongir Artykhojaev. The projected investments in this project may reach $600 million, as reported by gazeta.uz.

The project is being implemented in collaboration with a Turkish partner. According to Artykhojaev, the new plant is planned to produce aluminum products, automotive components, as well as elements for solar panels and windows. In the first year of operation, an investment of $105 million is expected.

Jahongir Artykhojaev, who served as the mayor of Tashkent from 2018 to 2023, is the founder of numerous companies, including O’zgazloyiha, J-United Group, and Artel Electronics. His business empire covers areas such as construction, logistics, and medical services, and also includes companies that own other enterprises.

At a meeting with the president in December 2024, Artykhojaev shared plans to build six new hotels in the capital, which will accommodate 1,200 people, as part of a unified ecosystem. In addition, he intends to open a large medical center in collaboration with a medical institution from Cleveland.
