Intermed Hospital to Attract Investments from Japan
Intermed Hospital begins strategic cooperation with the Japanese IUHW Group and receives investments.
On December 25, 2025, an investment agreement was signed in Tokyo between Intermed Hospital and the Japanese IUHW Group aimed at attracting foreign funds to the healthcare sector of Mongolia.
According to this agreement, the partners agreed to a 10-year strategic cooperation that will allow the residents of Mongolia to receive medical services at the level of Japanese standards at Intermed Hospital. In the future, it is planned to introduce modern Japanese diagnostic and treatment technologies into the country.
The signing of the agreement took place with the participation of Ojaragal Jambaljamts, Chairman of the Board of Directors of MCS Group, and Kuninori Takagi, Doctor of Medical Sciences and Chairman of IUHW.
The International University of Health and Welfare (IUHW) was founded in 1995 in Otawara, Tochigi Prefecture, as the first comprehensive university in Japan in the field of health and social welfare. The goal of its establishment was to train specialists and improve their qualifications. Currently, IUHW has about 8,300 students studying in 10 faculties and 24 departments, as well as a graduate school, with campuses in Tokyo and other cities.
In 2025, IUHW will celebrate its 30th anniversary. Since its founding, the university has adhered to the principle of creating a society in which people live in harmony by training specialists in health and social welfare. Over the years, the university has graduated about 37,000 specialists.
As part of this cooperation, Intermed Hospital will implement Japanese medical technologies, which will significantly improve the quality of services provided. It is also planned to create a system that allows Intermed medical staff to learn from the experiences of IUHW university hospitals, enhancing their skills and, if necessary, consulting with Japanese specialists.
The long-term investments of IUHW in the accredited Intermed Hospital open new horizons for receiving high-quality medical care of world-class.
