China's dissatisfaction was triggered by statements made by Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takachi regarding the situation around Taiwan. As reported by the official representative of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lin Jian, Tokyo had previously made "incorrect statements," hinting at the possibility of military intervention in the Taiwan Strait.

In the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was emphasized that such statements represent a serious interference in the internal affairs of the country and violate the principle of "one China."

“China expresses strong dissatisfaction and firmly protests. A serious representation has been conveyed to the Japanese side,” noted Lin Jian.

The representative of the Chinese foreign ministry stressed that the issue of Taiwan and the "reunification of the homeland" is an exclusively internal matter for China, and any external interference is unacceptable.

Earlier, during talks with the Japanese Prime Minister, Chinese President Xi Jinping expressed hope for the formation of a "correct perception of China" in Tokyo and adherence to the agreements reached on important issues, including Taiwan and historical aspects.

Beijing considers Taiwan to be part of its territory, and recognition of the "one China" principle is a mandatory condition for countries wishing to establish diplomatic relations with China.
