The founder of Microsoft and renowned billionaire Bill Gates noted that China is demonstrating outstanding success in the field of nuclear fusion, investing twice as much in this area as all other countries combined. These words from Gates were expressed in an interview provided to Bloomberg.
“Their achievements in nuclear fusion and nuclear fission are impressive... Chinese investments in nuclear fusion are twice those of other countries,” the agency quotes Gates as saying.
Gates also emphasized that China is actively competing with the U.S. and other nations in the development of the modern generation of nuclear reactors, which is becoming particularly relevant in light of the need to find new energy sources to meet the growing demands of data centers.
