Eldor Tulyakov, head of the "Development Strategy" Center, explained why it is necessary to update the "Uzbekistan – 2030" strategy. He noted that rapid changes on the global stage and technological innovations require a revision of the country's main program document. The new version of the strategy is based on the principle that "government bodies must serve the people." This implies the implementation of specific mechanisms that will make reforms more tangible for every family.

The document "Uzbekistan – 2030" is fundamental for the medium- and long-term development of the country, uniting the logic of reforms, priority goals, and practical mechanisms for shaping a New Uzbekistan.

In recent years, Uzbekistan has made significant progress in socio-economic development, governance, human rights protection, and strengthening civil society.

The "Uzbekistan – 2030" strategy has played an important role in these achievements; however, public life and global processes continue to change. New economic realities, technological changes, and transformations on the international stage present new challenges for state policy.

Thus, there is a need to adapt the "Uzbekistan – 2030" strategy to modern conditions, the current needs of the population, and the demands of the times.

A key point in updating the strategy is the idea articulated by the head of state: "It is not the people who should serve government bodies, but government bodies that should serve the people." This concept is reflected in the new version of the strategy, which aims to create a more effective, results-oriented, and accountable governance system.

As part of the work on updating the strategy, a deep analysis of the achieved results is being conducted, existing problems and challenges are being taken into account. Effectiveness indicators are also being revised, allowing for a more accurate measurement of the achievements of the set goals. Each task is assigned responsible bodies, and funding sources are openly indicated, which enhances accountability for the implementation of the strategy.

The updated strategy emphasizes the need for its clarity and relevance for every citizen. Every Uzbek should clearly understand what practical benefits the strategy brings to their life, family, and the future of their children. These are not just general slogans, but real changes that are felt in everyday life.

The effectiveness of medium-term goals is being updated in light of new socio-economic and technological challenges. Moreover, full digitalization of the monitoring system for the implementation of the strategy is planned, which will ensure transparency based on reliable data and strengthen public oversight.

It is also important to align all strategic documents for the development of various sectors and regions with "Uzbekistan – 2030" to ensure the integrity and coherence of state policy.

A key aspect is the formation of the strategy based on broad public consultations. The project will be submitted for public discussion in accordance with the directive of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, announced during the recent Address to the Parliament and the People. This will allow for the collection of substantive and practice-oriented proposals from citizens, experts, and civil society institutions. A document that reflects public opinion and the real needs of the population can become truly effective.

Thus, the process of improving the "Uzbekistan – 2030" strategy represents a consistent and open approach aimed at deepening reforms, adapting them to modern requirements, and increasing practical returns for people. The main goal is to create a nationwide program focused on the well-being of the people," the expert concluded.
