In a case related to the illegal privatization of properties belonging to the National Academy of Sciences of Kyrgyzstan (NAS KR), initiated on the grounds of corruption (part 1 of article 336 of the Criminal Code of the KR), a land plot of 11.2 hectares has been returned to the state balance, reports the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) of Kyrgyzstan.
According to information, in 1997, the Bishkek city administration issued decree No. 107, which allocated a land plot of 11.2 hectares to the Institute of Forestry and Nut Growing of the NAS KR in the northern part of the Karagachev Grove for conducting scientific research. However, since the transfer of the land, the plot was not registered with the relevant authorities, which allowed officials to subsequently fragment and sell it off.
In order to restore compliance with the previously stated target purposes, this plot has been registered and returned to the state balance.

Currently, necessary investigative actions are ongoing within the framework of the criminal case aimed at returning previously illegally privatized property of the NAS KR to the state balance.
