On February 6, a concert by the soloists of the Kyrgyz National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet named after A. Maldybaev took place at the Orozaly Tekeiev Secondary School located in the village of Bukara, Panfilov District, Chui Region.
According to the theater, the event was organized by director Nailya Rakhmadieva to introduce schoolchildren to classical art. Local residents eagerly awaited the performance of the artists, and the school gymnasium, which could accommodate everyone, became a meeting place for children, their parents, and friends.
At the concert, the audience had the opportunity to enjoy live performances by People's Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic Baktybek Ybykeev, as well as Honored Artists of the Kyrgyz Republic Aizirek Momunova, Aibek Saralaev, and Nurzhigit Asanov, international competition laureates Kristina Sevostyanova, Salima Mamatova, and Murat Derbishaliev. The concertmaster was Nurzhan Toktobekova.
Schoolchildren listened with bated breath to arias from works by composers such as G. Verdi, G. Puccini, G. Rossini, C. Gounod, and R. Leoncavallo, as well as pieces by Kyrgyz composers, including N. Davlesov, K. Moldobasanov, A. Ogonbaev, A. Aytaliev, and M. Bayetov. For many of them, this was their first encounter with operatic vocals, and the organizers noted that the goal of the event—to make opera a more understandable and accessible art form—was achieved.
The master class on vocals conducted by Baktybek Ybykeev particularly impressed the children, as did the visual arts session led by artist Zulfiya Akimova from the "Gallery M," under the guidance of director Meerim Akmatkulova. The children had a unique opportunity to interact with professionals in an informal setting, ask questions, and learn more about creative professions. The interactive discussion opened doors to the magical world of art.
The audience sent the artists off with applause and words of gratitude. The meeting took place in a warm atmosphere filled with music, painting, and harmony. After the concert, the audience discussed their impressions of the event for a long time, which, as the organizers hope, will remain in their hearts for a long time.
