According to information provided by the court's press service Turmush, the judicial panel of the Osh Regional Court confirmed the decision of the Kara-Kulja District Court on November 26, 2025.
The accused in this case was found guilty and sentenced to 18 years in prison. However, the relatives of the deceased disagreed with such a punishment and filed an appeal, demanding a stricter sentence of life imprisonment. Nevertheless, the regional court did not satisfy their demands.
The case of Aizirek Eralieva was considered in the regional court on October 8, but the hearing was postponed to November 5. At this session, the victim's side requested the summons of the investigator handling the case, which was done, after which the proceedings were postponed to November 26.
Aizirek Eralieva, a 38-year-old mother of five, was shot by her husband on May 26, 2025, after returning from a celebration of the 20th anniversary of her high school graduation, which took place in the village of Alga in the Uzgen District.
Her husband, 40-year-old A.B.K., is charged under the Criminal Code with "Murder" and "Illegal circulation of weapons and ammunition." The Uzgen District Court found him guilty on July 31, 2025, and imposed the following penalties:
- 15 years of imprisonment under Article 122, Part 2, Clause 3 ("Murder");
- A fine of 100,000 soms under Article 267, Part 1 ("Illegal circulation of weapons, ammunition");
- 3 years of imprisonment under Article 267, Part 2.
According to Part 2 of Article 77 of the Criminal Code, the penalties were partially consolidated, resulting in a total sentence of 18 years in prison and a fine of 100,000 soms. Both parties filed an appeal, and the case is currently under review in the Osh Regional Court.
Recall that on May 28, Turmush reported on the tragedy in the Kara-Kulja District, where a 38-year-old woman died from a gunshot wound. The press service of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Osh Region confirmed the information about the arrest of her husband as a suspect.
According to the investigation, the incident occurred in one of the villages of the Ylai-Talinsky ayil district of the Kara-Kulja District. The district akim, Zamirbek Sydykov, reported that the murder occurred out of jealousy after the couple returned from the school anniversary. Unfortunately, Aizirek died in the ambulance.
According to classmates' testimonies, her husband exhibited jealousy by controlling her communication during the celebration. After the event, when classmates planned to continue their meeting, A.E. went home with her husband, and shortly after that, the tragedy occurred.
By the decision of the Kara-Kulja District Court on May 29, a preventive measure in the form of detention for two months was chosen against A.B., who was born in 1985.
