The court sentenced the former mayor of Tokmok and his subordinates.

According to information received from law enforcement officials, the former mayor of Tokmok, Maksat Nusuvaliev, and his subordinates were convicted of corruption and received sentences ranging from 12 to 13 years of imprisonment. Yesterday, on November 6, the decision regarding the case of the former officials of Tokmok, detained during anti-corruption measures, was announced in the Oktyabrsky District Court of Bishkek.

Brief information about the verdict:It is worth reminding that on June 24, Kamchybek Tashiev visited Tokmok, where he held a meeting with the leadership of the Chui region. As a result of the meeting, decisions were made to dismiss the mayor and initiate a criminal case due to causing significant damage to the state. According to the State Committee for National Security (GKNB), the violations concerned the improvement of the city park and the repair of the local sports school. The agency reported that the tenders for these works were won by the company LLC "Al-Kadyr-Santekhservis." The contract amount exceeded 61 million soms (16.4 million for the school and 44.283 million for the park). The repair works started in early 2024 and are still not completed.
