Recall that on November 6, the Central Election Commission denied Taichabarov registration as a candidate for deputy in single-mandate district No. 19. This decision was based on materials from the Ministry of Internal Affairs indicating his possible connections to organized crime, including a joint photograph with Kamchy Kolbaev, who is linked to a criminal group and was eliminated during a special operation by the State Committee for National Security in 2023.
At the meeting of the Central Election Commission, Taichabarov confirmed that the photo is authentic and explained that the meeting took place in 2021 and concerned issues related to the operation of the free economic zone.
After the denial of registration, the Ministry of Internal Affairs initiated a criminal case and detained the former director of the free economic zone. In response, Taichabarov released a video criticizing the decision of the Central Election Commission, and he also mentioned the president of the country. In response to his remarks, the head of the president's information policy service, Daiyrbek Orunbekov, stated that government agencies are taking measures against all those involved in illegal activities, regardless of their political past.
Before taking the position of head of the "Bishkek" free economic zone, Taichabarov worked as a journalist, and after the events of October 2020, he held high positions in government structures, including leading the Tourism Development Fund. Recently, he has been actively expressing his views on social media, criticizing the actions of the authorities.
