Former mayor of Tokmak and his subordinates received prison sentences for corruption

Confiscation of property will also be part of the sentence


Maksat Nusuvaliev, the former mayor of Tokmak, was convicted of corrupt activities and sentenced to 13 years in prison with confiscation of his property, according to the decision of the Oktyabrsky District Court in Bishkek.

Additionally, technical supervision specialist A. A. J. received an 11-year prison sentence with a similar penalty, while the heads of the municipal property management T. U. A. and the state procurement department UMS I. G. Zh., as well as the head of LLC "Al-Kadyr-Santekhservis" K. T. E., were sentenced to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.

It is worth noting that on June 24, the head of the State Committee for National Security Kamchybek Tashiev held a meeting with the regional leadership in Tokmak, after which Nusuvaliev was removed from office. As a result, a criminal case was initiated due to significant losses to the state. The case concerned tenders for the renovation of a sports school amounting to 16.4 million soms and the improvement of a park for 44.283 million soms.

Later, information appeared on social media that civil servants from various departments and other budget employees were involved in work at the unfinished park.
