Gulnara Tezekbaeva, a 58-year-old educator, works at the Abai Humanities and Economics College located in Kara-Balta. She imparts knowledge about the great epic "Manas" to her students in English. Gulnara is the daughter of Asanbek Tezekbaev, who was not only a physicist and mathematician but also an akyn, writer, playwright, satirist, and respected educator. Throughout her long career, she has received numerous titles, including "Best Teacher of the Year."

Currently, Gulnara resides in the village of Petrovka, located in the Moscow district of the Chui region. In an interview with Turmush, she shared that her mother, Shaarkan Kenjegulova, also dedicated her life to education and was awarded the title of "Honored Teacher of the Kyrgyz Republic." Gulnara continues her mother's project of teaching students "Manas" in English. "I follow in her footsteps, and I have been teaching for 36 years now. My students at Abai College can confidently recite lines from the epic and participate in various events," she said.

The educator emphasizes the importance of language knowledge in the modern world, referring to the words of Anton Chekhov: "The more languages you know, the more times you are a person." In her opinion, personal development should be comprehensive, and the foundation for this is family. "My father, the akyn, left behind many works that are read to children and discussed for their educational value," she added. Gulnara fondly remembers her parents, speaking about how they influenced her life. Her father, Asanbek, passed away at the age of 58, leaving the family in mourning. "With him, we began to understand the world and strive for knowledge. After his death, it was very hard for my siblings and me," she shares.

According to Gulnara's memories, her father often spoke about his dreams. "He would tell that in one of those dreams, a man in black clothing came to him, urging him to follow him. This dream left him feeling scared, and he couldn't sleep," says Gulnara. Ultimately, after this dream, he passed away 40 days later.

Asanbek Tezekbaev and Shaarkan Kenjegulova raised eight children — four sons and four daughters. Gulnara was born on February 24, 1966, in the village of Tash-Dobo, located in the Naryn region. "I grew up in the village and absorbed all the charms of rural life. After school, I tried to enroll in the economics faculty but failed the exam. Then I decided to study tailoring, but my inner voice told me that I should become a teacher," she recounts her journey. Ultimately, Gulnara enrolled in the Faculty of Foreign Languages at the Kyrgyz National University and graduated in 1991. That same year, she married craftsman Dokdurbek. They have three children and three grandchildren. Their eldest daughter, Saikal, lives and works in Turkey, while their son, Zhanibek, is involved in jewelry making. Unfortunately, their youngest daughter, Alina, died in a car accident.

Gulnara's husband works at the Children's Creativity Center in Belovodsk, where he teaches children crafts. Gulnara notes that her grandchildren always bring her joy, and she happily sings for them. Over the years of her teaching career, she has had the opportunity to travel to countries such as India, Dubai, China, Germany, and others. "I am impressed by the cleanliness and culture of these countries, their historical monuments. In my work, I combine the traditions of the Kyrgyz people with modern teaching methods. I have many plans for the future," concludes Gulnara Tezekbaeva.
