He added that the current situation is temporary and related to seasonality: during the winter months, there is a decrease in egg production due to a reduction in hens' egg-laying. However, with the arrival of warmer weather, an improvement in the situation is expected, along with regular supplies and a restoration of price balance in the market.
Similar measures also apply to meat products: an export ban on meat has been introduced to stabilize the domestic market. In addition, authorities are taking steps to increase production volumes. In particular, programs for preferential lending to farmers engaged in breeding livestock have been launched, with an interest rate of 3%.
A new pilot project has also been announced, with funding of 1.5 billion soms, which will be implemented in test mode to analyze its effectiveness. Preferential financing will be provided only to participants in clusters, with applications for participation accepted by the Ministry of Agriculture, after which a special commission evaluates the projects and makes funding decisions. After approval, participants complete the necessary documents, and funds are allocated through banks. Control over the targeted use of funds will be carried out by the banks themselves, while the ministry will monitor the implementation of the project.
