A working meeting of oil traders recently took place in the Kyrgyz Republic, organized by the Antimonopoly Regulation Service under the Ministry of Economy and Commerce. Representatives from organizations such as the Non-Profit Partnership "Association of Oil Traders of Kyrgyzstan," the Non-Profit Partnership "Alliance of Entrepreneurs," as well as companies OsOO "SHNOS," OsOO "Alpha Oil," OsOO "Munai Prom," OsOO "Partner Neft," and ZAO "RN-Kyrgyznefteproduct" participated in the discussion.

The main focus of the meeting was on the state of reserves, prices, and issues related to ensuring stable supplies of petroleum products to the domestic market. As emphasized by representatives of the antimonopoly service, despite ongoing geopolitical tensions, the market for fuel and lubricants in Kyrgyzstan remains under control and is not experiencing negative impacts on domestic prices in the near term.

Duty-free supplies of petroleum products to the country are carried out under an intergovernmental agreement between the ministries of energy of Kyrgyzstan and Russia, which allows for the maintenance of stable supply volumes and protects the domestic market from external economic risks.

The Antimonopoly Regulation Service actively monitors the price situation in the fuel market. According to oil traders, supplies of petroleum products are currently uninterrupted, and reserves are sufficient to ensure the market for two months.

In January of this year, a decrease in prices for gasoline and diesel fuel was recorded, amounting to 3 soms per liter. Oil traders noted that in the near future, price adjustments will be limited, and retail prices may change with the arrival of new fuel batches. Importantly, the further dynamics of costs will depend on the wholesale prices set by Russian refineries.

As a result of the meeting, the following decisions were made:

— Oil traders were instructed to maintain current prices and avoid sharp increases in fuel prices;

— Ensure the formation of necessary reserves to saturate the domestic market and prevent shortages of petroleum products.

Oil traders expressed their readiness to guarantee uninterrupted supplies of petroleum products until the end of the year and to fulfill their obligations under the concluded agreement.
