The Significance of Iran Closing the Strait of Hormuz
The escalation of the conflict between the US and Israel with Iran has affected the Strait of Hormuz, which is one of the key energy hubs in the world, causing a sharp rise in oil prices.
On Monday, the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced the "closure" of the strait, adding that any vessel attempting to pass through it would be "set on fire."
On Tuesday, oil prices continue to rise for the third consecutive day, with Brent crude futures approaching $80. Forecasts indicate that the price per barrel could reach $100 in the coming days if the conflict continues.
The Strait of Hormuz, located between Iran and Oman, is an important transit route for global oil supplies, through which about 20 percent of all oil passes.
Any disruptions in this area could lead to further increases in oil prices and raise concerns about possible regional escalation.
According to the US Energy Information Administration, a significant portion of crude oil that passes through the Strait of Hormuz is headed for Asia, where China, India, Japan, and South Korea account for about 70 percent of all supplies.
In addition to oil, there is a shortage of other types of fuel, such as aviation fuel and liquefied natural gas.
About 30 percent of the volume of aviation fuel supplies to Europe comes from or passes through this strait, while one-fifth of liquefied natural gas supplies also move along this waterway.
The US Orders Its Personnel to Leave Iraq
The US Embassy in Iraq has updated its travel recommendations, urging government employees not involved in emergency situations to leave the country "for security reasons."
The message also stated that US government personnel in Baghdad are prohibited from using the city's international airport due to security threats.
Earlier, State Department spokesperson Mora Namdar stated on platform X that US citizens are advised to "IMMEDIATELY LEAVE" more than ten countries using available commercial transportation "due to serious security risks."
Among these countries are Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Israel, the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, the United Arab Emirates, and Yemen.
Trump Criticizes UK Prime Minister Starmer
President Trump harshly criticized UK Prime Minister Starmer for refusing to support the war with Iran, warning that the so-called "special relationship" between the two countries is at risk.
"He has not provided any help... I never thought I would see this from the UK," Trump expressed confusion over Starmer's stance.
He added that relations between the US and the UK have undergone significant changes.
"In fact, it is a completely different world. The relationship with your country is radically different from what it used to be."
Trump noted that he never expected that one day "the strongest alliances would come under such pressure."
He also pointed out that Washington is no longer dependent on the UK regarding war efforts in the Middle East.
"It won't matter, but [Starmer] should have helped... he should have," Trump concluded.
Israeli Forces Ordered to Capture New Positions in Lebanon

"Netanyahu and I agreed on the advancement [of troops] and the capture of new controlled territories in Lebanon to prevent shelling of Israeli border settlements," he noted in a message on X.
Katz added that the Israeli army "continues to act against Hezbollah targets in Lebanon."
The Israeli army confirmed that its forces have begun a ground invasion of southern Lebanon with the aim of creating a "security zone."
Australia Calls for Calm Regarding Fuel Purchases
The Australian Minister for Energy urged citizens not to panic and hoard fuel amid the escalating conflict between the US and Israel with Iran, which raises concerns about global supply disruptions.
Chris Bowen stated that Australia has a gasoline supply for 36 days, diesel fuel for 34 days, and aviation fuel for 32 days — the highest levels in the last ten years.
"There is no sense in panic buying; it will only exacerbate the situation," he addressed Australians.
Oil prices on Tuesday continue to rise for the third consecutive day amid increasing concerns that attacks in the Middle East could disrupt supply routes. Iran has responded with attacks on energy infrastructure in Gulf countries and on tankers passing through the Strait of Hormuz.

Iranian state television showed thousands of people filling a public square. On stage, a woman identifying herself as the mother of "Athena" held up printed portraits, which she called "a document revealing the crimes of the US."
The crowd shouted: "Death to America!", "Death to Israel!" and "No capitulation!".
Iranian state media blamed Israel for the attack on the school. An Israeli army spokesperson stated that there was no information about any strikes by Israel or the US in that area.
