Protests have swept the entire country, including the capital, where a group of hooded youth attempted to break down barriers at the National Palace, the residence of President Claudia Sheinbaum. This action led to clashes with the police, who used tear gas. Mexico City's Minister of Public Security, Pablo Vasquez, reported that 100 police officers were injured during the clashes, 40 of whom were hospitalized, as well as 20 civilians. During the events, 20 people were arrested, and another 20 were charged with administrative offenses.

Marches also took place in other regions of the country, particularly in the state of Michoacán, where on November 1, the mayor of Uruapan was shot dead at a public event on Day of the Dead.

Protesters in Mexico City expressed their dissatisfaction with the ruling party's actions, demanding more decisive measures in the fight against crime. Their slogans included: "Carlos did not die, he was killed by the government."

Authorities questioned the sincerity of the protests, claiming that the marches were organized by right-wing political forces and supported by bots on social media.

The organizer of the actions was the group "Generation Z Mexico." In their manifesto, they declared their independence from political parties and demanded attention to issues related to violence, corruption, and abuse of power.

Note Generation Z includes people born between 1997 and 2012. In recent years, youth around the world have actively participated in protests, demanding social and political changes.
