American entrepreneur Elon Musk has become the first person in the world whose wealth has increased to 749 billion dollars, according to data from the Forbes index, as reported by Reuters.
This increase in wealth was made possible by a recent decision from the Delaware Supreme Court, which reinstated Musk's canceled stock options for Tesla worth 139 billion dollars. The previous court ruling was deemed unlawful and unfair to the businessman.
Additionally, the agency reminded that in November, Tesla shareholders supported Musk's compensation plan amounting to one trillion dollars, which became the largest corporate payout package in history.
Just a week ago, it was reported that Musk became the first person in history whose wealth exceeded 600 billion dollars. However, experts note that Tesla's shares have been "ridiculously overvalued" for a long time.
