The CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk, published a fresh video in which humanoid robots Optimus are engaged in various professions, including roles as medical workers, builders, and cooks, as well as acting as poker players and bloggers.

Previously, Musk claimed that the Optimus robots could help combat poverty and provide medical assistance. He has now added that in the future, these robots will be able to perform complex surgical operations. This statement was made during a conference call dedicated to Tesla's financial results.

According to Musk, mass production of the Optimus robots is expected to begin at the end of next year. He also described this product as "the most significant in history" and "an endless source of income" for Tesla.

So far, the company has not demonstrated the surgical capabilities of the robot. Among the known functions are careful handling of objects, egg collection, and the demonstration of slow-motion maneuvers in a kung fu style. The Optimus V3 version is expected to be released in early 2026, after which Tesla plans to ramp up production to one million units per year.

At the same time, Tesla's management declined to comment on future electric vehicle models, noting that the format of the conference "is not suitable" for announcements. These updates were announced against a backdrop of mixed financial results for the quarter: the company's profit fell by nearly a third, despite record revenue figures. As a result, Tesla's shares dropped by 4.5% after trading.
