
The national team of Mongolia, consisting of 250 athletes, is actively training and participating in competitions under the guidance of 57 coaches. This year, they cover 27 different sports, including winter, summer, and Paralympic disciplines. This information was shared on the Facebook page of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, Tourism, and Youth.
In the current year, the team participated in 91 competitions and conducted 24 domestic and 11 international training camps, resulting in 149 medals won. Among them are 36 gold, 43 silver, and 70 bronze medals.
At the World Championships, adult athletes won 4 gold, 6 silver, and 8 bronze medals, while juniors secured 1 gold and 2 bronze medals. The Youth World Championship brought the team 2 bronze medals. At the Asian Championships for adults, they won 1 gold, 7 silver, and 14 bronze medals, while the youth team earned 5 gold, 5 silver, and 4 bronze medals.
At Grand Slam tournaments, the team earned 7 gold, 4 silver, and 12 bronze medals. At the Grand Prix stages, they received 3 gold, 3 silver, and 6 bronze medals, while at the World Cup, they achieved 3 gold, 3 silver, and 2 bronze medals. In other international tournaments and qualifying competitions, athletes collected 12 gold, 15 silver, and 20 bronze medals.
The first medal of the year was won by international master Achbadrah Batmunkh, who returned with two gold medals from competitions in Gangwon Province, South Korea, held in January 2025. The year concluded with cross-country skiers, among whom Ariuntungalag Enkhbayar won a silver medal in the classic 5 km race at the Asian Cross-Country Skiing Cup in South Korea.
