IDF representatives emphasized that actions against "Hezbollah" and the restoration of their facilities violate agreements between Israel and Lebanon, jeopardizing the security of the State of Israel.
The ceasefire agreement between Israel and "Hezbollah" was reached in November 2024, under which the group committed to not restoring infrastructure that could be used for attacks on Israel. By the end of 2025, "Hezbollah" was supposed to transfer its weapons to the Lebanese authorities, otherwise Israel threatened to resume a large-scale military operation.
