At the checkpoint "Kyakhta" in Buryatia, employees of the Rosselkhoznadzor of the Irkutsk region and the Republic of Buryatia discovered violations related to plant quarantine during an attempt to export quarantine products. This information was announced by the Rosselkhoznadzor.
On January 13, 2026, a citizen of Mongolia attempted to export 75 kilograms of dried apricots and a mix of fruits and nuts. However, phytosanitary certificates were not provided for this quarantine product. This circumstance constitutes a violation of part 1 of article 25 and part 1 of article 32 of the Federal Law No. 206-FZ "On Plant Quarantine" dated July 21, 2014, which creates a risk of the spread of quarantine organisms.
As a result of this incident, a protocol was drawn up under article 10.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, and the products were returned to Russia for obtaining the necessary phytosanitary certificates.
