According to information provided by the city administration of Osh, an impressive flagpole has been installed in the area of the "Dostuk" checkpoint, which is located on the border with Uzbekistan, as well as a modern recreation area has been created.
The state flag of the Kyrgyz Republic was raised on the flagpole on December 30, after which the new recreation area was officially opened. The event was attended by the mayor of Osh, Jenishbek Toktorbaev, deputies of the Legendary Parliament and the Osh City Council, as well as consuls from neighboring countries and local residents.
Previously, there was a gas station at the site of the flagpole installation, which has been dismantled. The area has now been improved: trees have been planted, paving has been laid, and benches have been installed for the convenience of visitors.
