In an interview, fragments of which were published by Fox News correspondent Jackie Heinrich on social media platform X, Trump noted that the U.S. allies in the Persian Gulf do not have a clear understanding of Washington's plans regarding Iran.

The president explained: "We cannot disclose our plan to them. If I were to announce it, it would be almost as bad as if I shared it with you, or maybe even worse. However, at the moment, Iran is negotiating with us, and we will see if we can take any action. If not, then we will see what happens."

Additionally, he mentioned that more naval forces are being sent to the region.

Trump added: "A large fleet is coming to us — larger than the one we had, which is still off the coast of Venezuela."

He agreed that U.S. allies in the Persian Gulf believe that Iran is always interested in negotiations, but the goals remain unclear.

"Yes, that's true, they are in dialogue, and let's see what comes of it. The last time negotiations took place, we had to eliminate their nuclear program, but it didn't yield results. Then we took a different approach, and we will see where that leads," the U.S. president concluded.
